Download ESIC Card by UMANG App
Now, You do not need to depend on your Company Accountant or HR for an e-Pehchan card.
You can easily download an e-Pehchan card yourself, that too with the help of the Umang app.
You can avail of many government services including ESIC on the Umang app launched by the central government.
With this, you can download ESIC card , EPF passbook balance check including gas cylinder booking or even apply for a PAN card or passport.
UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New Age Governance) is an app of the government, through which it is providing the benefits of many government services on a single platform.
How to Download e Pehchan Card by Mobile
- First, go to the Google Play store, and type Umang there.
- Select Umang from the Display option and click on the Install button.
- The UMANG app will start installing. This app will be installed in a while.
- After installation, if you are using it for the first time, you will have to register it.
- It will ask you for device location access then press the second option yes and turn on the location.
- If you are already registered in this app, then you have to log in by typing your mobile number and MPIN.
- If you are using it for the first time then click on register here.
- For registration, you have to give the registered mobile number in ESIC and tick the Agri option. Now press the register button.
- It will ask for permission to send the message, then press the bonfire option
- The six-digit OTP will be sent to the mobile by the Umang application. Enter this OTP and press the Next button.
- Now you will be asked to create an MPIN.
- Type in an easy-to-remember four-digit M-PIN.
- Type the same M Pin again in the Confirm M Pin and press the Next button.
- You are now registered on the UMANG app
- After this, log in by typing your mobile number and MPIN.
- Type ESIC in the search option. ESIC option will appear, select it.
- Now scroll down, here you will see the option to download an e-Pehchan card, click on it.
- On clicking here you will get the Benefits, Claim Status and Download E Identity Card options.
- On pressing the download option it will ask you to enter the IP number also known as the ESIC number.
- Here you type your IP number and press the Send OTP button.
- Six-digit OTP will be sent to your mobile, type this OTP here and press submit button.
- A pop-up option will appear
- Do you want to download an e-Pehchan card, you press the confirm button
- Your e-Pehchan card will be downloaded. enable photo and media access.
- Your e-Pehchan card will be opened.
Point to be Noted
It contains your name, your ESIC number, your company name and the name of your dispensary etc.
The name of your nominee and the percentage of the claim will be mentioned below.
Below that, the name of the dependent family member is given which you have added for other facilities including medical.
Before using this card in ESIC dispensary and hospital, you have to do some important things like
You have to put your signature or left-hand thumb impression in this box.
You have to paste your and your dependent family member's photo in the adjacent box.
Below you have to get the stamp from your company or from the ESIC office. It is better to get a signature and seal from your company.
Now your e-Pehchan card is ready to serve you.
