2). EPF Balance Check on Mobile Number

You can check your EPF amount by making a missed call from your registered mobile number to the authorised phone number.

This service is only available after linking your UAN with your KYC information.

In the event that you are unable to do so, you may contact your employer for help.

You will receive information regarding your most recent contribution in addition to your PF balance.

3). PF Balance Check with UAN Number

The Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG) software allows employees to check their EPF balance on their mobile devices.

Besides allowing you to check EPF balances, the app will enable you to file and track claims.

Members must complete a one-time registration using their UAN-registered mobile number to access the app.

• Download the UMANG application from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
• Choose "EPFO" from the 'All Services' drop-down menu.

What is the e-Nomination Procedure for PF Accounts required?

EPFO has not mandated nominations in advance for PF accounts.

It is recommended, though, that you fill out an e-nomination for your PF account.

This lets your nominees know who will get your EPF account when you die and protects your family.

How to Submit an Electronic Nomination to EPFO?

• Go to the website for UAN Member e-Sewa.
• Fill the EPF UAN number, password, and captcha code, then click "Sign In."
• Choose 'E-nomination' from the 'Manage' menu.
• To make changes to the family declaration, select "Yes" from the drop-down menu.
• Submit the family member's information to the online nomination form by choosing "Add Family Information." Besides this, multiple nominees can be added.
• Choose 'Nomination Information' to enter the total number of shares.
• Click "Save EPF Nomination" next.
• Finally, click 'E-sign' to create an OTP and enter the OTP received on the Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
• The process of e-nomination is now complete.

PF Balance Checking without a Mobile Number

Checking your PF balance does not always require your registered mobile number.

You only need your UAN and password to log in and view the status of your PF. Check out the simple steps described below:

• Step 1: Log in to the PF Passbook website using your UAN and password.
• Step 2: Choose the PF account for which you want to check your PF balance and click on "view PF passbook."
• Step 3: You can now see the total employee contribution (balance) and employer contribution (balance) in your PF account. In the last column of your PF passbook, you can also check the pension balance.
• Step 4: To display yearly PF contributions, select the "View Passbook" (new: "Yearly" option) in the fourth step.
