Preliminary Upper Division Clerk (UDC) Exam Pattern
The UDC Preliminary Examination is an objective type test with 100 questions.
It covers topics such as Reasoning & General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and English Comprehension.
Each subject/section has 25 questions worth 50 marks. For each incorrect answer, a quarter-point deduction is applied to the question.
Candidates who pass the preliminary examination for UDC vacancies will be invited to take part in the main examination.

The pattern of ESIC Stenographer Exam 2022
The pattern of ESIC Stenographer Main Exam
The ESIC Steno Main Examination is divided into three sections. ESIC exam 2022 has a total of 200 marks.
The paper will be bilingual, meaning it will be written in both Hindi and English.
Due to the availability of negative marking, 1/4th marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer given by you.
Each question is worth 1 mark.
A computer-based test and a steno test will be conducted for the main examination qualifiers.
The Computer Skill Test for Stenographer is a qualifying test, which means the marks of it will not be included in the final merit list.

The stenography exam will last 10 minutes.
To pass an exam, candidates must have a stenography speed of 80 words per minute in Hindi or English.
For one hour, the transcription will be done on the computer.
Aspirants who are visually impaired must copy the same material in 85 minutes in English shorthand and 95 minutes in Hindi shorthand.
