UP NHM CHO Appointment
The National Health Mission (NHM), UP, will soon publish online applications for the four-month Certificate in Community Health for Nurses (CCHN) training session for 2023–24.
This training is part of an initiative. Under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
The Government of India was planning on turning sub-health centers into health and wellness centers (HWCs) to enhance the implementation of public health programs.
This will facilitate the delivery of comprehensive primary healthcare services, including disease prevention and health promotion.
Candidates who successfully complete this course and the following final exam will be assigned as Community Health Officers (CHO) at sub-health center-level Health Worker Centres (HWCs) on a contract basis.
The CHOs need to work together with the primary healthcare team.

UP NHM CHO Elligibility
UP NHM CHO Educational Qualification
Candidates who have completed either a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) OR Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing OR B.Sc. Nursing with the Certificate in Community Health for Nurses (CCHN) integrated curriculum.
- To be clear, the academic year has to do with integrating students who will become Middle-Level Health Providers (MLHP).
- i.e. those enrolled in the fourth year of BSc. Nursing and the second year of Post BSc. Nursing in 2021.
- Applicants must be registered with the UP Nurses & Midwives Council as Nurses & Midwives.
- Without the registration certificate, candidates must submit a self-attested copy of the registration sheet along with the application form.
UP NHM CHO Upper Age Limit
Candidates who are interested in applying for the NHM CHO in UP must be between 18 to 35 years.
The candidate should be aware that the date of birth stated on the matriculation or secondary examination certificate, or an equivalent certificate, is the only one that will be accepted by the NHM, UP, for the purpose of determining age, and no later request for its change will be permitted.

UP CHO Salary
UP NHM CHO Salary and Performance-Based Incentives 2023
- The successful candidate will be employed as a Community Health Officer on a contractual basis at sub-centre level HWCs and will be given a salary of Rs 20,500 per month in along with up to Rs 15,000 per month in performance-based incentive (PBI) pay.
- This post would be located at the HWCs.
- At the time of joining as CHO for a minimum of three years at Sub Health Centre level HWC in Uttar Pradesh, candidates must submit a surety bond of Rs. 2.50 Lakh on of Rs. 100/- non-judicial stamp paper
UP NHM CHO Selection Process 2023
Applicants have to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria. The criteria for selection will be a computer-based exam.
If shortlisted, the applicant's candidature will be subject to verification of details/documents uploaded at the time of online application submission.
When the candidate reports for the Document Verification Process (DVP). No new documents will be accepted during DVP.
UPNHM CHO Exam Pattern 2023
The online test is scheduled for two hours (in one session) and consists of two sections with a total of 100 marks.
Section-I (80 Marks) will consist of Professional Knowledge (related to the specialty) and
Section II (20 Marks) will have 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQ) on general aptitude, reasoning, general awareness, and basic computer knowledge.

There will be no negative marking and each question will be worth one marks. There will be no marks given for questions that go unanswered.
The examination shall be conducted completely in English and Hindi.
However, in the event of a contradiction between the English and Hindi versions of the question, the English version shall be considered valid and final.
